  Shaoxing University Profile

Shaoxing University is an ordinary full-time comprehensive institution of higher education approved by the Ministry of Education of China. The university is located in Shaoxing, a city included in the first batch of National Famous Historical and Cultural Cities, and the campus covers an area of 2217.73 acres. The University currently offers 63 undergraduate programs covering 9 major academic disciplines including economics, law, pedagogy, literature, science, engineering, medicine, management, and art. It concludes more than 15,000 full-time students, an independent college (Yuanpei College) and a university-affiliated hospital. There are over 1,800 staffs, including over 1,100 full-time faculty, 18 national-level leading talents and 38 provincial-level leading talents.

There are 7 academic master’s programs in first-level disciplines, 6 professional master’s degrees, and 6 provincial first-class disciplines. Its engineering discipline has entered the top 1% of ESI international disciplines in the world. The university has 3 provincial key laboratories, 2 provincial engineering research centers, 7 other provincial platforms, and 5 sub-centers for jointly-established national key laboratories and engineering research centers. The University is comprehensively promoting connotative development and application-oriented construction, and strives to move towards the goal of building a high-level application-orientated university with distinctive characteristics.
